The National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago has come a long way since its humble beginnings as a community center. Twenty-five years after opening and it’s already become a nationally accredited institution. On May 4th, it  will host a Gala de Plata, (Silver Gala) honoring the breakthroughs in Mexican art. Over 600 supporters and friends will be able to enjoy traditional Mexican cuisine, drinks and newly opened exhibitions.
