This is by far the best thing you could do with your Cinco de Mayo privileges this year. The Mole cook off will include awards in two categories; Best Mole Award and yes, there is a People’s Choice Award for Mole! Don’t say your voice was never heard.
A variety of restaurants from Pilsen and the Chicago region have signed up to compete including; El Mezcal, Fogata Village, Lalo’s on Maxwell, Las Palmas, Mundial Cocina Mestiza, Taqueria Ciudad, Taqueria DeCero and Zocalo Restaurant (Best Mole Award Champion 2010)

As if Mole wasn’t enough, there will be Micheladas and live music including Mexican Dance Ensemble (Mexican Folkloric Dancers) and musical acts will feature local bands that comprise the Pilsen Soundtrack V2.0 which includes such artists as Bob Rok (hip-hop), Azul de Noche (spanish blues), Benjamin Anaya y los Extraños Unidos (samba funk), Tarima Son (son), and Malafacha (ska), and the much anticipated return of the high flying Lucha Libre Wrestlers will be displaying their acrobatics at about mid afternoon.
