Do you want to spend a warm night and being blown away with two bands that know how to play the instruments and their blends of Latin American rhythms? He it’s the chance for the wind city of Chicago to enjoy from Azul de Noche (Picture) & Fandanguero (video). Drink specials will be served $3 Beer – $5 Margaritas. Don’t forget to say “Azul de Noche” at the door to get in for free!
Azul de Noche blends seamlessly the blues and a latin feel with seasoned musicians on harmonica, trumpet, sax, electric guitar, bass, conga and drums. A performance of the band is always a new and different experience, one night a blues harmonica and a latin conga play a call and response, another night an electric guitar and bass steer to a tango, bossa or a boogie. All of this while social and poetic lyrics fill the room with a passion for the blues.
Fandanguero’s music is originated in the Son Jarocho traditional musical style of Veracruz, Mexico. It is a fusion of indigenous, Spanish, and African musical elements. Fandanguero is also influenced by Cuban Son, Afro-Peruvian, Samba, Mambo, Flamenco, and other Latin rythyms.
