Event Description

Patxi Amézcua’s 25 Carats, a gritty and romantic crime thriller, deals with the lower echelons of the Barcelona underworld. In the Spanish film, tough cookie Kay (Aida Folch) is working a car-accident racket when she crosses paths with Abel (Francesc Garrido), a grizzled thug. They’re both up to their necks in trouble, and the only way out is to join forces in a daring scam that will play ruthless crooks and corrupt cops against each other.

In other words, this is Bonnie and Clyde a la española. The film will be screened in Spanish and Catalan, with English subtitles.
